Engine Management Lights
The engine management light is one of a number of warning lights that are set within the instrument cluster on your car’s dashboard. You’re most likely to see it when you turn your ignition on, as all the dashboard lights come on and quickly go off again as your car starts up. If this has suddenly appeared then give us a call to arrange a Diagnostic Check to help find out what the issue could be.
An ABS light indicates a fault in the Anti Locking Braking System and is no longer working properly.
Your car’s braking will be seriously affected as the Anti Skid function is no longer in operation if you need to stop in an emergency so it is best to get this checked out sooner rather than later!
Airbag Warning Lights
An Airbag light indicates the Supplementary Restraint System is no longer operating properly and in the event of an accident, an Airbag or Airbags and Seat Pre-tensioners may not function which could be fatal!
Gearbox Warning Lights
Automatic Gearbox Light indicates a fault in the Automatic Transmission Gearbox and should be investigated at the soonest opportunity to prevent any damage to the internals of the system or the car losing drive.
Diesel Injector Coding
Replacement Injectors need to be coded to the vehicle to calibrate their operation and maximize fuel burning efficiency. Some vehicles will not run correctly and can fail to start completely if they are not coded correctly.
Oil Overfill Drainage
.If you have made the often common mistake of putting too much oil in your car whilst checking the level this can ruin an engine and its internal components and it’s strongly recommended not to run or drive the car.
We can come and remove upto 2 litres at the roadside and get the oil level to a safer level that reduces the risk of engine damage and enables you to get to a garage to drain the excess oil if required.
Jump Start & Non Start Diagnosis
If your car’s battery is flat we can come and jump start your car and check the batteries health and also check your alternators operational charge.
If the car shows signs of numerous faults a diagnostic check can be carried out to help pinpoint any problems hidden within the cars ECU.
Steering Wheel Angle Reset
Often modern cars need to have their steering angle reset periodically which is part of the cars steering system. A warning light on the dash usually indicates this fault.
